Mission
The mission of the Tennessee Association of Accountants is as follows:
To emphasize and perpetuate the prestige and status of the accounting profession and the enrolled agent.
To protect the interests of accountants and enrolled agents and to cultivate a spirit of professional cooperation among members of TAA.
To present a respected profile of the accountant and enrolled agent and the service he/she performs.
To promote highest standards of ethics as a means of preserving a respected public image.
To actively work for enactment of legislation and correction or modification of existing laws toward the ultimate benefit of accountants and enrolled agents and the public they serve.
To develop programs aimed at increasing the knowledge and efficiency of the members.
To combat discrimination against accountants and enrolled agents wherever and whenever they may appear.
